LIMA’11 is looking for VOLUNTEERS!
LIMA is the premier destination for aerospace and maritime manufacturers from all over the world to showcase their products and services.
We are inviting 110 volunteers to serve and enjoy this experience at LIMA 2011. If you are mesmerized by the roar of fighter jets, amazed at aerobatic air displays, looking at advanced technologies for aerospace and maritime and much more, this will be your best chance to experience all this excitement.
As part of making the exhibition a great success, we are looking for right-minded students and enthusiasts who like to be part of the organizing team.
Students will gain invaluable experience and knowledge on the organizing facets of the exhibition and the opportunity to witness firsthand the excitement of being part of a premiere aerospace and maritime exhibition. Students will be chosen based on the requirements set below by the organizers. Further information and briefings will be given to the candidates upon the completion of a selection process. There are various scopes of duties involved ranging from administrative duties, VIP liaison officers, registration personnel, media centre assistants, operational staff, conference assistants and much more. These will be identified when the selection process is completed and interviews conducted with the candidates by the end of October 2011.

All LIMA 2011 volunteers will receive the following:
- Opportunity to gain valuable hands on work experience.
- The chance to visit Langkawi and see the excitement at LIMA 2011.
- RM50.00 daily allowance.
- Exclusive LIMA 2011 merchandise t-shirts and caps.
- A certificate of participation for all volunteers at LIMA 2011.
- All transportation costs covered.
- Breakfast and Lunch daily.
Students who are exemplary in their duties will be considered for an internship with the organizers with the possibility of being offered full time employment (if applicable)
Volunteer Requirements
- You MUST be very fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia (Proficiency in other languages will have an added advantage).
- This experience is open to all Malaysian Citizens and other Nationalities with valid student visa/permit.
- We encourage students pursuing courses in Aeronautical Engineering, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, Defence Studies, Marketing, Business Administration and Media Studies will be given preference. Students pursuing other related courses and Academic staff are also encouraged to apply.
- You must be able to travel to Langkawi from the 4th of December to the 10th of December 2011 and willing to serve long hours at the exhibition.
- To register, please send your details below with a copy of your I.C/Passport together with a recent passport sized photograph the latest by October 31st, 2011. Please also attach a letter from your University stating that you are currently an active student.
- Candidates are also required to write a short cover letter in ENGLISH as to why they should be selected as a volunteer (in not more than 120 words) Selection process will be done by the Organizers and successful candidates will be notified by e-mail.
